Welcome to the fourth annual Auburn Model United Nations Invitational (AMUNI) to be held Saturday, November 15th, 2025!
AMUNI IV will occur in the Mell Classroom Building (below) in the heart of Auburn's beautiful campus and mere steps away from Toomer's Corner and downtown Auburn!
Teams/Delegates competing at AMUNI IV will simulate the United Nations General Assembly Plenary, one medium sized UN committee, and at least one crisis committee (more details to be provided closer to November 2025). Once registered, delegates will be assigned to represent individual UN nation-states on one of these committees and will be tasked with accurately role-playing as the representative of their designated nation and its national interests. The topic and background guide for both committees can be found using the dropdown menu for the High School Conference.
During the full-day competition, delegates on each committee will be tasked with collectively addressing a single topic of global importance and developing UN-style resolutions through collaboration with delegates representing other nation-states. More specific details will be provided closer to start of AMUNI IV on Saturday, November 15th, 2025!
Note: Delegates/Delegations should not come prepared with completed resolutions or resolution language as the objective of AMUNI is to realistically simulate the collaborative nature of the United Nations.Â
For preparation, delegates will be assigned to a nation-state in advance of the conference and be tasked with preparing to accurately represent their nation's interests during the conference and to achieve global solutions (resolutions) through collaboration with other delegates on their respective committee's designated topic. While there will be no required position papers for AMUNI, delegates are encouraged to conduct research on their assigned nation-state and its identity, interests, and most importantly, its policy positions and preferences on the topic under discussion. Resources to support delegate research and preparation are also available via this website.
